We had the amazing opportunity to ask our beautiful bride Zoey some questions about her gorgeous wedding and all the emotions she felt on her big day!
Thank you Zoey for allowing us help you make your dream day absolutely perfect!

How’d You Meet?
Alex and I met on Crescent Beach, at a resort while on vacation with our families. I had the “hots” for him and decided to try to make conversation with him and his best friend Justin. We talked a little and boy was I in LOVE! He was the most handsome thing I had ever seen. We exchanged Snapchat usernames and added each other on Facebook. He left 2 days after we met to go to training for the Army in Missouri. I wouldn’t see him again for 4 months. We wrote each other for those 4 months. One day my mom came up to me and said I needed to go clean up, that we were going out to dinner. Needless to say, I thought it was a little fishy because it’s rare we ever go out to dinner. It crossed my mind that this might be the moment he’s going to surprise me after all this time. So I painted my nails, curled my hair and did my makeup. I drove to my uncle’s house to “pick up” some things my mom needed, but really it was supposed to be a distraction for the surprise. I will never forget the moment I turned into my driveway and there he was, standing in his uniform, all nicely shaven and as handsome as ever waiting to kiss me. Of course I cried. I got to hug him and kiss him for the first time. From there, he attended school in Milledgeville, Georgia to become a second Lieutenant in the Army. He visited me every other weekend for 2 years. At the end of his schooling we found out that we were going to be blessed with the sweetest little boy in the world.
That’s how it all began.

How Did Alex Propose?

Alex proposed to me in the sweetest way possible! We were together for 2 years and he felt the time was right to ask me to be his wife. His college was hosting their annual military ball. I wanted to get pictures since we were all dressed up. His best friend Dalton Becker took the photos for us in front of the capital building in Milledgeville,Georgia . I was 6 months pregnant and wanted a photo of him kissing the baby. So he bent down to kiss the baby and he got down on one knee and proposed! It was the best day of my life. The butterflies he gave me when he did that is a feeling I’ll never forget.

How Did It Feel Having Your Dad See You For The First Time In Your Gown?
Ever since I was a little girl I had always dreamed of my Daddy seeing me as a beautiful bride. Finally that day was coming true. I remember getting butterflies when they zipped up my dress because I knew when I stepped around that corner, my Daddy was going to see me not as his little girl anymore but as a grown woman on her wedding day. I remember walking out onto the grass and seeing him with his back facing me. As soon as he turned around, we both cried quite a bit. I had flashbacks of when my Daddy had given me so many wonderful childhood memories. I have a very strong love for my Daddy because we are so much alike. He is my best friend, has always given the best advice and has always been there for me in hard times.

What Was Alex’s Reaction During Your First Look?
Alex is not an emotional person like I am but walking down for him to see me was a feeling I’ll never forget. There he was in his dress blues looking so handsome. His face was priceless! It was a moment I have always dreamed of. He told me how beautiful I looked and he looked at every little detail from my earrings to my shoes. He noticed every little thing which meant the world to me.

Describe The Feeling You Felt Walking Down The Aisle.
Walking down the aisle was my favorite part of my wedding day. I was surrounded by the people who loved me the most. I remember grabbing my Daddy’s arm and feeling us both shaking. It was the moment I had dreamed of since I was a little girl. As soon as I laid eyes on Alex, I fell in love all over again. I saw all of my best friends, all of his groomsmen and so many great memories flashed through my head. Alex and I would not be here if it weren’t for all those wonderful people.
Finally my Daddy gave me away to the man of my dreams and that was the best feeling.
If You Could Relive One Moment Of your Wedding Once A Year What Would That Moment Be and Why?
If I could relive any moment from my wedding it would be dancing with my Daddy.
I love the song “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. I listened to that song so many times growing up and I was finally able to dance with him to that song. If I could I would dance with him every day a thousand times over.
What Was On Your Menu?

Our caterers were fantastic! All I can remember eating that day were pulled pork sandwiches and macaroni and cheese! The food was so delicious!

First Dance Song?

Our first dance song was “You Are Mine” by David Haas.
We chose this song because it really gave meaning to our relationship and described our feelings to one another perfectly.

What Was The Story Behind Your Skelton Wedding Guest?

Vinny, my other brother. Vinny started out as a Halloween decoration but then decided to hang around for Christmas. He became a part of the family. He was in our Christmas photos and he has been with us since.
What would our wedding be without Vinny?!
